Stay tuned for another big bear

Today’s blog post certainly generated a lot of interest, as all big bear (or big deer, or big fish) stories do.

As of 8 p.m., in fact, the “Out There” blog had already been visited more than 10,000 times on Friday — a single-day record since its inception nearly a year ago. Much of that web traffic was due to Richard Naro’s 600-pound bear.

Well, I’m happy to report that I’ve got another big bear tale queued up for release on Monday … keep checking in, and I’ll tell you all about it.

A further tease: The bear wasn’t as big as Paro’s 600-pounder, but I suspect you won’t discriminate, and will check in to find out more about another huge Maine bruin. This one weighed in at 522 pounds, live weight, and was shot in northern Aroostook County.

That’s all I can say for now. See you on Monday, and another epic bear tale from the Maine woods.
