During late winter and early spring, many outdoor enthusiasts (and those who sell goods and services that may appeal to the outdoor set) spend a lot of time on the road, traveling to expos that are held throughout the region.
We here at BDN Maine Outdoors aren’t among the most impressive road warriors: Some vendors and state organizations log a lot more miles than we do. Still, we embarked on a more ambitious show schedule this year, and will wrap up our journey this weekend at the 31st State of Maine Sportsman’s Show in Augusta.
Overall, BDN representatives have spent a weekend at the Cabin Fever Reliever in Brewer, another three days at the Eastern Maine Sportsmen’s Show in Orono, and two days at the Presque Isle Fish and Game Club’s show in Presque Isle. If you haven’t attended a show yet, we hope you’ll stop by the Augusta Civic Center this weekend and visit our booth.
Show hours: Friday 1-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
At our booth we’ll be handing out our new outdoor publication, aptly named “BDN Maine Outdoors.” We’ll also be showing Aislinn Sarnacki’s popular video series, “One Minute Hikes,” and will have a slide show of stunning outdoor images showing on another big screen. Aislinn, senior editor Aimee Thibodeau, and I will all available to chat with visitors.
So stop by. Say “Hi.” Let us know what we’re doing right … what we can improve upon … and what you’d like us to do next.
See you at the show!
